About Us
Our Staff
The heart of Kullik Ilihakvik is our wonderful team of teachers, support staff, and community partners. Each member of our staff brings not only professional skill, but also kindness, patience, and a genuine care for our students.
Our teachers work hard to create engaging lessons that connect learning to real life and local culture. Support staff play an equally important role, ensuring that every child feels safe, welcomed, and ready to learn each day. Together, our staff share a commitment to helping students grow into confident, respectful, and curious learners.
What makes our team truly special is the way they go beyond the classroom — whether it’s organizing cultural activities, supporting families, or working with Elders to pass down traditional knowledge. Their dedication and teamwork make Kullik Ilihakvik a place where children feel they belong and are inspired to succeed.

Raising Questions and Concerns to DEA
At Kullik Ilihakvik, we value open communication and believe that families are important partners in their children’s education. If you have questions, ideas, or concerns, we encourage you to bring them forward.
Our District Education Authority (DEA) is here to listen, support, and work with families to ensure our students have the best learning experience possible. Whether it’s about school programs, cultural activities, or ways we can improve, your voice matters.
You can share your questions or concerns by contacting the school office, attending DEA meetings, or reaching out directly to DEA members. Together, we can create a strong and supportive school community for our children.
IQ Principles
At Kullik Ilihakvik, Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ) principles guide the way we learn, teach, and interact every day. These traditional values are at the heart of our school and remind us of the importance of respect, community, and caring for one another.
The IQ principles include:
Inuuqatigiitsiarniq – Respecting others, relationships, and caring for people.
Tunnganarniq – Fostering good spirit by being open, welcoming, and inclusive.
Piliriqatigiinniq / Ikajuqtigiinniq – Working together for a common cause.
Avatittinnik Kamatsiarniq – Respect and care for the land, animals, and environment.
Pilimmaksarniq / Pijariuqsarniq – Development of skills through practice, effort, and action.
Qanuqtuurniq – Being innovative and resourceful in seeking solutions.
Aajiiqatigiinniq – Decision-making through discussion and consensus.
These principles are woven into our classrooms, activities, and school culture. They help our students grow not only in knowledge, but also in character, community, and cultural pride.
